Calgary, AB Events This Spring

Here at Sunridge Nissan we get excited when the weather starts to warm up, which is followed by an increase in birds chirping and flowers blooming and the windows rolling down on Nissan Murano and Nissan Altima models. Like everybody else, we love the springtime here at Sunridge Nissan, not only because it means an uptick in foot traffic through our dealership, but also because it means that more active Canadians can find their way to some of the season’s hottest events:

Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo – At the end of this month, stars like Jeremy Renner (“The Avengers”), John Cusack (“High Fidelity”), and the actress who played Eleven in Netflix’s “Stranger Things” all will make their way to the Expo to entertain and meet with fans. Add to that all the great comics and nerd gear for sale, as well as all of the amazing cosplayers at events like this, and it’s sure to be a good time.

Calgary International Children’s Festival – Toward the end of May, this year’s Children’s Festival will take place, featuring drama workshops, musicians, jugglers, acrobats, and musicians to entertain all patrons in what really is a fun spring weekend.

Scotiabank Calgary Marathon – For those that would rather be up and moving instead of sitting around and being entertained, there’s our area’s biggest marathon of the year. Not only does this event help runners attempt to break their personal best times, but it also raises a lot of money for good causes, making it a doubly excellent undertaking this season.

Calgary car dealers love it when the windows roll down and tops of convertibles peel back, all in the name of taking in some sunshine. We’ve earned, it and we hope you’ll treat yourself by visiting some of these fantastic spring events.
