Top Calgary, AB Events for July

July in Calgary, AB means a lot of things. First and foremost, it means some of the warmest temperatures we’ll see all year, but more importantly it means that local residents find themselves smack-dab in the middle of festival season. As your Nissan dealership serving Calgary, AB, we encourage our customers to pile the family into our fantastic automobiles and drive them to as many of these events as possible. Here are a few of our favorites for July:

Calgary Stampede (July 7-16) – More than any other event, the Calgary Stampede represents how awesome July can be in this city. If you’ve gone before, you know the rodeo shows are worth the price of admission on their own, but the rides, the food, and the shopping all contribute to the summer’s biggest event. If you haven’t gone before, what are you waiting for?

Calgary Folk Music Festival (July 27-30) – In the past, this festival has featured big-time folk artists like Allison Krauss and A Tribe Called Red which, if you’ve ever listed to either, you know are vastly different stylistically. With six outdoor stages, this music fest offers a little something for everybody, which helps explains why it’s so well-attended every year.

Historic Calgary Week (July 28-August 7) – Toward the end of month, take part in walking and cycling tours to some of the city’s most historic locations. Every event is free, and there are family events worked into the week, as well. It’s a great way to get in touch with your city’s past in a way that’s fun for the whole family!

Do you have a new Nissan vehicle that you’d like to use beyond your commute to work this summer? Hop in and head to one of these events!
